This week's Pee Wee basketball camp will have transportation provided to those who want it. The shuttle bus will be behind the buses at their school and will take campers to the high school gym.

Sports Physicals will be given on May 19th. Physicals will be given at the High School. Physicals are free and will be conducted by Highland Medical Staff along with area Health Care Providers. All athletes in grades in 7-12 are required to have a physical each year before they can participate in activities. Any student who indicates they will participate in athletics, grades 7-12 (21-22 school year) will be given a physical unless otherwise instructed. Those wishing to secure their own physical should call the school office of their child and opt out by Monday, May 17.

At the conclusion of tonight's graduation ceremony there will be a fireworks show at approximately 8:15 that can be seen from the Highland football field.

Highland Senior Graduation will be at 7:00 pm tonight on the football field. All guests will need to park and enter on the home (east) side and must have a voucher to attend. Senior Reception will be held on Thursday, May 13 at 6:00 pm. Graduation will be on Friday, May 14 at 7:00 pm. Guests must have vouchers to attend. Both events will be available via Livestream.

Seniors/Class of 2021. The Senior Signing will be held on Friday, May 7 at the A. L. Hutson Center. We will start at 9:00 am. Seniors should be there by 8:50 am. The Highland School District is having a 16 and older COVID vaccination clinic for students and staff on May 7th at the high school. Highland Middle School is now accepting 5th and 6th grade classroom teacher requests for the 2021-2022 school year. If you would like to request a particular teacher for your student you may contact the middle school office now thru May 7th. No requests can be accepted after the deadline.

ALL 3rd & 4th grade students will participate in ACT Aspire summative testing starting tomorrow, April 20th - 22nd. ALL testing will be conducted ON-SITE; meaning virtual students are required to come on campus for testing sessions. Testing will start at 8:00 each morning. For more information about the daily testing schedule, please contact your teacher or school administration.

Senior Parents/Guardians: please make sure your senior has completed the Senior Signing form that was emailed to them from Mrs. Mahaffey. She needs this information to move forward with our Senior Signing set for May 7th at 9:00 am in the High School gym. Parents of current 3rd-11th grade students:
The Highland Gifted and Talented Program (HIGATE) is currently accepting referrals for students to participate in the Highland School District Gifted & Talented Program. The program is designed to serve high potential students who demonstrate above average (1) intellectual ability, (2) task commitment and/or motivation, and (3) creativity. The process is non-discriminatory and open to all students. If you would like to refer a student for testing, please email teresa.flynn@highlandrebels.org. The deadline for referrals is Monday, April 19th.
