School picture day is a week away-
Pictures will be taken across all campuses, from preschool to high school, on Thursday, September 18.

The Highland School District will be closed on Monday, September 1, in observance of the
Labor Day Holiday.

Shot paperwork has gone home with all students age 11 and 16 who need additional vaccinations.

There will be a vaccination clinic at school on September 10th. Paperwork must be in by Wednesday, September 3rd.

The deadline to get shots is September 11th. If you have any questions, please get in touch with the building nurse.

Did your family take advantage of the Summer EBT Program? If not, the deadline is MONDAY!

The Summer EBT Program provides $120 per eligible child to help families purchase nutritious food.

If your family did not automatically receive this benefit through SNAP participation, you are encouraged to apply to determine eligibility.

🍦🚚 It’s that time again — our Rebel Food Truck is transforming into the Traveling Ice Cream Truck for the final week of our Seamless Summer Feeding Program! We LOVE wrapping up summer by handing out FREE frozen treats to our students! Be sure to catch the food truck on its regular route next week and grab your favorite sweet treat while supplies last! This summer has been one for the books — we’ve had a record number of students join us at each stop, and it’s been such a joy to see our students and families all month long. Unfortunately, the Highland School District facilities are currently under a boil order, which prevents us from operating at full capacity. As a result, there will be no school on Monday, April 7, 2025. We will continue to monitor the situation and share updates as soon as possible. Cherokee Elementary Teacher Requests for 2025-26 Cherokee Elementary School will accept teacher requests for the 2025-26 school year from April 7 through April 25. Parents must submit three teacher options when making a request. Please note that no requests will be accepted for fourth grade. Dismissal will be as follows: Bus riders will be dismissed from HMS / HHS at 12:40 pm Car riders will be dismissed after CES car riders will be dismissed at 12:15 pm CES Activity Bus riders will be dismissed at 12:20 pm Bus riders will be dismissed from CES by 1:00 pm We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
