The Highland School District is proud to partner with Highland Assembly for this year’s BACKPACK EXTRAVAGANZA!
This drive-thru event will take place the same night as Open House on Thursday, August 5th. Even if your child will not participate in open house because of their incoming grade level, they may take part in this event!
The drive -thru will be held in the AL Hutson parking lot from 4-7pm. Please enter from Hwy 62/412 and exit along the back service road.
Backpacks will be readily available for all students, K-12, and a shoe voucher will be distributed with further instructions for a later pick-up date.

The Highland School District currently has 8 students and 2 staff members who have tested positive for Covid 19. All close contacts have been notified. While school is not currently in session, the Highland School District does have many summer activities occurring on campus. STUDENT VACCINE CLINIC
1st Choice Healthcare in Ash Flat will have the Pfizer COVID vaccine available FRIDAY, JULY 30, for Highland students ages 12 and older at no cost!
We encourage you to call 994-2202 to schedule an appointment! Walk-ins are welcome. Parents must accompany any student under 18 and complete a consent form.
Any Highland student that has had at least one vaccine shot by September 1, 2021, can stop by the Highland Central Office to pick up a $25 gift card!!

All students who have turned or will turn 16 years old on or before August 16, 2021 must have had their 2nd Meningitis vaccination before school begins on August 16, 2021. Please contact the local County Health Unit for an appointment as soon as possible as to ensure your student gets vaccinated before the 2021 school year. All students in grades K-6 can keep their school-issued chrome book at home this summer to use next year. If families do not want to be responsible for the chrome book over the summer, please return them to the students' teachers or schools next week. If you moving out of the district, please return the chrome book and any school-issued internet device to the central office.
The Highland School District will offer a virtual academy for the 2021-22 school year. The Highland Virtual Academy (HVA) requirements and expectations are different than what we put in place this school year to address COVID.
If you are interested in applying for HVA, please read the information and complete the application linked below. School administrators will review the application, contact you to discuss your student's enrollment status, and schedule a conference.
