Congratulations to the Jr. High Quiz Bowl Team! Mckayla Smith, Moriah Vogt, Bailey Gentry, Melody Hooks, Charles Tompkins, Hayden Smith and Carson Mayan. 3rd place in the Regional Quiz Bowl Competition.

The Highland School District will be in session on Monday, February 21, 2022. This is a make-up day for February 8, 2022.

4A East Regional Basketball Tournament tickets are on sale now. All tickets must be purchased online. Only AAA passes will be accepted. No local passes will be accepted. Luke and Evan Bruner, Camelia Eheart, Connor Galbreath, Rilee Morgan, Kadyn Dienst, Kambelle Pierce attended the NAEC Sr. High Quiz Bowl Tournament. They took 3rd place out of thirteen teams!

Parent meeting for boys and girls track teams will be at the A.L.Hutson Center on Wednesday, February 16th. Meeting will start at 5:30 pm.

Highland Trap will have one more sign-up meeting on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 5:30 pm in the High School cafeteria. The student and at least one parent/guardian must attend. The forms have to be turned in to the Arkansas Game & Fish on Friday so this will be the final sign-up meeting. Cost is $125. If you have questions you can call Dustin Rogers at 870-710-3300.

The Highland School District will be open on Thursday, February 10, 2022. All District operations will run as normal.

Due to secondary and dirt road conditions that remain covered with ice and snow, the Highland School District will be closed on Wednesday, February 9, 2022. This will be a snow day; no work will be assigned. A make-up day will be determined at a later date.

Sr. Boys Basketball will play Valley View on Friday, February 11 at Valley View. Games will start at 6:00 pm. Sr. Boys and Sr. JV Boys. Sr. Girls Basketball will play Valley View on Saturday, February 12 at Highland. Game will begin at 2:00 pm. Sr. recognition will be at 1:30 pm.

The Highland School District will be closed on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 due to road conditions within the district. This will be a snow day; no work will be assigned. February 21, 2022 will be the make-up day. February 21, 2022 (Presidents’ Day) was previously scheduled as a holiday with no school.

CES presented a 'Above and Beyond' award to Abel Kellems for the month of January. Congratulations!!

The Trap Meeting scheduled for tonight at the high school has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

Kathy Booth is the counselor at Cherokee Elementary. The Highland School District would like to thank her for all she does for our students! National School Counseling Week.

Due to road conditions throughout the district, Highland Schools will be closed on Monday, February 7, 2022. The District will use AMI Day 6. Students and staff should follow AMI plans.
