Highland School District Teacher of the Year

We are proud to announce that Highland High School science teacher Ms. Dawn Trivitt has been named the 2025–2026 Highland School District Teacher of the Year!

Ms. Trivitt, who teaches Biology and Computer Science, is recognized for her outstanding dedication to students and her commitment to excellence in the classroom. As the Science Team Leader, she approaches her role with intention and professionalism, working closely with her department to ensure alignment to standards and instructional best practices.

Highland High School Principal Dr. Woods shared that what sets Ms. Trivitt apart is not only her effectiveness in the classroom, but also her leadership beyond it. She is dependable, solution-oriented, and student-centered in every decision she makes. She embraces challenges, adapts to district needs, and consistently models professionalism for both students and fellow educators.

This recognition is part of the Arkansas Teacher of the Year program, which honors exceptional educators across the state. As Highland’s Teacher of the Year, Ms. Trivitt is now eligible for consideration at the state level.

The Highland School District congratulates Ms. Trivitt on this well-deserved honor and thanks her for the dedication, leadership, and passion she brings to her students and colleagues each day.
